the dark knight is superb. although this girl beside me was clearly disgusted, disturbed and visually tortured by it. but i think this is so cool i totally love the movie, it is 10 times better than Transformers although in both movie i couldn't really see what's going on during the cars chasing and crashing, which the CGI must have spent a lot of of time and effort on. Speaking about computer graphic, the defaced-face of Harvey Dent is so '__________' (fill in the blank with some words better than cool, it's so real! good job to those who did the 3D for that face.
heath ledger. omg on the fact that he is dead. but i've been waiting for this movie since before his death, coz i only watch Batman out of all other men, i mean superheroes. if his death is proven caused by mental illness, anyone who has watched this movie could have understood how so. he is so great as the joker with all those little body language he made.
and gosh, i missed out the a few seconds of Edison Chen's part! i didn't blink but i just didn't see that it was him. it was too fast! blame it on the big screen i couldn't focus on the details... ish
overall, Batman wasn't impressive but Bruce Wayne has nice speech. I miss George Clooney. Maggie Gyllenhaal's was a bit disappointing as i always like her in movies; joker is not funny with his no-rules rule but disturbingly fantastic acting; Morgan Freeman is Morgan Freeman and i dunno why those people in Hong Kong were speaking in mandarin (or have i missed out some details about this~)
if you extremely don't like to watch people acting crazy in bombing places, saying why so serious and slitting people's mouth, orrrr... if you don't like that joker look in the poster, don't go watch it, coz the fantastic joker is all over the movie.
First got attracted to this movie because of 杨淇, seen her in 盛夏光年. The Star newspaper covered about this movie before early this year. The art direction is similar to The Shoe Fairy with more elements in it. The movie is simple, revolving around ordinary people with special hobbies. It is cute, artistic and creative. like the music too. :) The animated 梁晓丰 is just so funny with his innocent face.

Personally i like the MIME couple one the most following by the one with Natalie Portman and the blind boyfriend. Some are with weird storyline but still they are sweet and well presented.
I've watched most part of it online but still missing out a few stories so i decided to watch it in the cinema with sis at international screen. I would love to watch it again and again and listen to the song again and again and again.

hmm.... maybe i expect too much from this movie, because of the very nice and tempting trailer. and the Beatles. their songs.
it felt like watching a lot of MTVs in a film, the musical is kinda out of place to me. i didn't know it is some kind of musical in the first place... i felt a bit mo chang when they sing, not that they are bad, they have great voice actually, but watching it sometimes reminds me of high school musical, where this is the adult and 60's 70's way.
i will prefer the songs are originally sang by the Beatles, as the background music. the story is not deep enough as they are so busy singing and sometimes dancing. if you've watched a bit of Enchanted maybe you'll think about asking them to shut up, don't sing, you are in the city. it's ok that they sing, but dance? choreographed performance? i laughed at them with a bit of sigh. thanks to the way they end it, it has kinda saved the movie.
well i don't wanna kill your anticipation towards this movie if you really feel like watching it, maybe you'll find the direction suitable. it will be better to watch this movie if you are familiar with Beatles' songs. anyway, i get a message from this movie, which is, a war makes everybody either a sad person or an angry person. peace . btw, i like the strawberry logo jude did for sadie. red, juicy and sexy

last week i exchange my R-brand full size mascara (which i don't really like and would just leave it to dry) with this mini size Clinique for 7-day-use from the counter, as advertise in newspaper. the result is satisfying!~ and i don't think i can finish it for only 7 days use.
It rubs off trapped dirt gently and moisturizes skin. It doesn't really remove whiteheads and blackhead as written -you can leave this to Biore Pore Pack (black strip recommended), but is a good option to use alternately with scrub, since scrub scrubs skin hurts...
Daily use is recommended (by the packaging), but no need la, I use only when I feel my skin is dirty~ if used regularly, like once a week, it is enough to brighten up skin and refines pores. smooooth skin.
p/s: I'm writing this because I stopped using it months ago and today I use it again, it has a visible result to the pores. There was a period when I exposed to the sun almost everyday but still Eu said I look fairer, I didn't use any whitening stuff on my face but only this. I guess it helped.
Joanne has been talking about this French movie since last year and kept on looking for the DVD, too bad those in Sg Wang don't even know what is it. Finally she found the original one and bought it. Highly recommended.
Amelie is very pretty, interesting, amazing and inspiring That magical smile of Amelie Poulain and the amazing things she does made me smile and laugh and smile and laugh. Some for her funny imaginations and some for her brilliant little deeds that make impacts. Not to forget those people and animals in the picture frames that talk, think Harry Potter.
The movie has a nostalgic and colourful scenes. Every shot is so pretty that I was so busy looking at the whole picture. Similar scenes are shot in different angles too.

A book that teaches you to make the wrong decisions and the benefits out of them. I smiled and agreed on almost every conclusion at the end of each topic. Big font size with images on alternate pages. you read it fast, but some sentences you need to process them deep into your brain to get the rationale. Went MV on a Saturday night wanted to watch the one at 9.00pm but sold out so we took the next at 11.30pm and ended up in the second row from the screen~ Read:uncomfortable. Plus 2 of my bloody like-long-lost-friends were chatting throughout the movie. disTrACTioN lah!
Think the day after tomorrow, think war of the worlds, think armageddon. Vocanoes throughout Japan were exploding, tsunami and earth quake struck every now and then. Ground kept sinking, people kept dying.
To kill the thrill, sorry but to my disappointment, Japan does not completely sink. The love story in between was quite brief. Something is not strong enough about this movie but the whole scene was grand and there was only 1 scene that the graphic part is not very well done.
Cant remember any spectacular scene right now. Maybe because of the distraction...
3 stars for the movie, 4 stars for the acting overall. Very terribly sad ending. Everybody dies. Very bloody. Since the starting whenever there is a weapon fight, slashing and you'll see blood splashing out from the body in slower motion. All the daggers and swords that go into a body are stabbed through. For a moment Zhang Zi Yi made me hate her coz her evil expression is really great. Very expensive production, everything is big and grand, red and gold. The armour worn by the imperial armies are expensive looking too. I noticed that most of the important shots are symmetrically balance. Important people stands in the middle separating the grand background. Something is lacking in the movie. Maybe is that nobody truly give a smile, or the acting is too tense, or maybe there is not enough chinese elements in it, like the critiques this movie gets from the Cannes. It's just not complete. It's something like 无极 (The Promise).
this is a brilliant software created by allen and his HK friend. according to him, it's quite widely used in HK. its a combination of winamp and windows media player. multiple funny functions (funny because it's brilliant). i'm still in the early stage of exploring it. so not much to tell yet. features like change the opacity, auto adjust equalizer, the minimized icon that follows the skin, can display lyrics, and the erm, anyway, this thing is cute and it takes only a little memory. bye bye to laggingness.
